WARDOGS Season 2: what changed and what was corrected

Season 2 is the current season as of October 28, 2026. Its launch notice confirms Update 0.2.0 was released and servers were back online on October 15. Later backend corrections take precedence over launch previews.

When did Season 2 launch?

BULKHEAD published the final notes on October 14. Its October 15 launch confirmation was posted at 09:59 UTC. The October 9 preview had warned that details were still being finalized; use final notes and subsequent corrections for released behavior.

New equipment and battlefield changes

The new weapons are TCX-SPR, PP-19 Bizon, Evo-3 Ultra and M14. Vehicles are Wolf-110, its M2 Browning variant, T-72B3 and Flakpanzer Gepard. Buildables are MG Nest, Large Shelter and Wooden Step.

Rain affects spotting and Molotov fire. Infrared range finding now uses batteries. Combat, armor, suppression, parachutes, construction, vehicles and progression received balance changes.

Progression and the launch economy

Published role XP totals include 25,000 at level 10 and 111,500 at level 20. The losing-team vendor discount is 20% when at least 40 points behind second place. This discount is separate from the removed Lonestar reward bonus.

Does Lonestar still receive the launch cash and XP bonus?

The October 16 Steam developer confirmation says the prior night’s backend update removed the Lonestar cash/XP bonus and corrected Driver progression and the exploit allowing premature tank access. Guides that recommend the launch Lonestar bonus are outdated.

That confirmation does not publish a replacement XP formula or a new numbered client build. We do not derive an exact current Driver reward rate from it.

What should not be described as released?

The Wager Vendor was explicitly unavailable at Season 2 launch, with a later opening planned. The October 16 backend notice described Limited Mode servers without power weapons or vehicles as coming soon.

Those announcements alone do not verify that either feature is playable now. A later release confirmation or a current-build check is needed before changing that status.
