WARDOGS Season 1: launch, progression and patch history

WARDOGS entered Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026. Season 1 values belong to that earlier build: check the current season before using them to plan a loadout or an unlock.

Historical reference. These details describe earlier builds and may differ from the current season.

When did Season 1 start?

The official Steam listing dates Early Access to September 10, 2026. BULKHEAD published the Season 1 launch-build changelog with pre-load on September 9.

A launch-day client hotfix targeted failed server joins, unexpected kicks and long login queues. Players had to restart, update and queue again while admissions resumed in controlled batches. That announcement records the response; it does not prove every connection issue was immediately resolved.

How did Season 1 change progression?

The launch rebalance slowed levels 10–20 compared with weekend beta balancing. Published cumulative role XP included 35,000 at level 10 and 250,000 at level 20. Artillery moved to Career level 90 and Heavy Tank to Driver level 35.

The FOB vendor price rose from $2,500 to $7,500; the Large Hammer rose from $1,600 to $2,400. These are historical changes, not a current price list.

One source discrepancy remains unresolved: the Season 1 notes list 1,000,000 XP at level 50, while the Season 2 notes use 1,500,000 as their previous baseline. We retain the dated statements instead of inventing an intervening change.

Patch 0.11 and the server browser

Announced September 12 for September 14 maintenance, Patch 0.11 separated Official and Community browsers, added community text search and persistent IDs, and improved filtering. The one-week 5% community-server end-of-match cash bonus was temporary.

Official-server filters were removed at this stage, then restored in Update 0.1.2. An old screenshot or guide may therefore describe an interface that changed during Season 1.

Later fixes before Season 2

Update 0.1.2 was published September 30 in UTC. It addressed WD-L020 crashes, several cash and XP exploits, and added a DEPLOY flow highlighting Official, Community, Infantry Mode and Low-Level servers. It also added daily UTC restart scheduling and RCON host restrictions for community administrators.

On October 2, BULKHEAD announced that Infrared Range Finders would leave vendors as servers restarted, returning in Season 2 with batteries. The same hotfix changed the stated CIWS-versus-Havoc destruction time from about 12 seconds to six; this is a historical patch statement, not a universal current test result.
