The picture is the game’s own map: 4K on Low, 8K on Medium and High, and the full 16K picture on Ultra, sharpened piece by piece as it loads. Inside the playable area the hills are the game’s own, rebuilt from the height lines published by the open-source WARDOGS Artillery Calculator (MIT). Place names are the community’s (wardogs.zone and WARDOGS Hub). Drag to turn, scroll to zoom, right-drag to move, click to pin a point and read its coordinates.

Control towers

In the game’s Control Zone mode, the zone itself is picked at random each match, so it is not drawn here. The HQs, spawn areas and towers stay in the same place every match.

Distance between bases

Questions

How do map coordinates work?

Two numbers mark a spot: X runs west to east and Y runs south to north. One unit is 100 metres, so 0.01 is about 1 metre. The coordinates here are the game’s own, the same ones the in-game map shows.

Where do these positions come from?

From the open-source Wardogs artillery calculator (MIT licence). Team names and colours are the game’s: Lonestar is blue, Valkyra is red and Manticore is green.
